Shipped Mission Logs, a journal app with a sidebar of entries that swap the content pane on click, following Guide 4’s array-of-posts pattern, fourth window now, alongside Welcome, Flight Log, and About, also fixed the top bar so it always stays above focused windows, no more menu getting buried, hit a nasty bug along the way: a stray comma in document.addEventListener(‘DOMContentLoaded’), () => {…} meant the listener never actually attached, and an extra } closed the scope early, so the whole script silently died before the boot screen could ever finish, leaving the desktop stuck forever on “BOOT SUCCESSFUL.” one character, whole OS down, desktop’s also running a live canvas starfield with drifting stars and the occasional shooting meteor in the background, small touch but it makes the thing feel alive rather than static.
