After a few weeks without being able to do proper coding sessions (only got time to do it while being at school), I can finally release a new feature for Fleer!
Integrity checking: after sending files, the receiver can ask the sender for a list of SHA-256 hashes. All communications are using encrypted messages to reduce the amount of things a malicious relay server can do.
Integrity checking allows the receiver to be sure that files are identical from the sent one, and that the relay didn’t skipped chunks/files.
- I also added proper (and definitive) instructions for selfhosting a relay server by using Docker Compose (with prebuilt images via GitHub Actions), by building the image yourself with a Dockerfile, or to run from source.
- Reduce chunkSize when sending files if network conditions were really really bad before starting to send chunks.
