☢️☢️Survival PC 3000: Software Devlog 4 ☢️☢️
Hello Stardancers,
10 hours have flown by and I’ve almost completed the STATS Menu. Here’s what’s new:
- Completed Status Subtabs: The EFF and RAD tabs are now exact copies of the original tabs from the Pip-Boy; the radiation counter’s arrow (underneath the line with the 0-1000 scale) is already dynamic and, once I get the hardware, it will work as a Real-time Geiger Counter, showing the data inputted by the Geiger Counter Module (the MIN and MAX values that the model can perceive will become the 0 and 1000 on the radiation counter); 🩻
- Completed Perks, S.P.E.C.I.AL. and Skills: With all the images from the game (I’m already working on finding the in-game text); ✨✨✨
- Working Map: Ladies and Gentlemen, the Map is now working! I still need to see if the IRL map works, but for now we have the maps from the Commonwealth and the Mojave with and without the markers; regarding the Radio Customization, by the next devlog it should be fully working; 📻
- Submenu System Repaired: I easily repaired the submenu system by reworking the ‘tab_manager’ code with some slight modifications; 🔧
-
Booting sequence repaired: I repaired and implemented the booting sequence of the original code back in July, before the 3rd Devlog, however I forgot to add it there, my bad!😅 As for how I’ve repaired it I’ve simply recalled the code of the booting , aka boot.py, in the main code (main.py) and completely reworked the run() function of boot.py;
For now that’s all, I’ll work on the realistic inputs when I’ll get the funding and the parts. Here’s a video of the current state of the project.
See y’all soon
