Devlog 11
- Today I’ve been cooking hard. Currently I’m working on the memory engine for SlopUI.
The architecture is quite simple:
- A cheap extractor analyzes all conversations, extracts context, and suggests memories.
- All context gets passed to a smarter filter that has tools to directly manage the entire memory system: add, edit, remove, and list memories.
- All saved memories get embedded and saved into the DB.
- Search uses an embedder + reranker for quick lookup.
Search takes around 0.5s per message, but I’ll optimize it before the next devlog.
I’ve also improved the mobile version of SlopUI and added PWA support so you can install it similarly to a normal app.
The memory engine is still in development, and I have a few experimental ideas in mind that might make the memory crazy good. But first I need to finish it.
