I added my first slash command!

/magpie-ping checks the latency of the bot and gives a different message for different speeds. It’s very simple, and honestly this is mostly just the code that the mission had me copy and paste.

But I’m learning! Now I know how easy it is to add commands to Magpie, and I will hopefully have a much more exciting second devlog.

I’m planning to add:

• a help command
• a command for giving presents to magpie
• a command for giving snacks to magpie
• a coin flip or dice rolling command
• a command for magpie trivia
• maybe more!

This is very fun to me, so I can’t wait to make this bot a full repertoire!
