So, I decided to begin working towards the one-button game jam on itch.io with GDevelop, no clue how it will go!
So, I decided to begin working towards the one-button game jam on itch.io with GDevelop, no clue how it will go!
Progress is going quite well actually, got the physics working as intended, the gravity reversal works, we have moving platforms now and working (albeit basic) level generation.
Next update will be actual threats, more levels, better sprites and I’ll begin working on the sound effects and menu.
From the ground up! Game will be a physics-based game where you reverse gravity to save yourself from threats while a ball falls down a shaft! All will be done in GDevelop and I aim for all the assets to be made in Piskel by myself
Long story short, began making the game and just now realized how difficult this might be to impliment and how boring this will be to play. So, as a result, I’ll be starting from the beginning, probably gonna make something with reversing gravity/shifting or whatnot, seems a much more engaging concept than this. Also, GDevelop’s pathfinding system is really, really finnicky
So, did a rough planning stage for my one button gamejam challenge, still some questions unanswered but i’ll figure it out along the way, next post will be a short gdevelop 5 devlog on setting up the environment and a couple basic variables, im considering doing either a clicker game or making like a chase game with a randomly generated map or something, i don’t exactly know how to describe it but it will be more clear on the next devlog
