Devlog #12:

I made an optimization change that would reduce lag for people on slower internet connections. Before, the search engine font would load from Google fonts. I literally live on cell data and public wifi, so it takes a good few seconds to load.

Usually, this wouldn’t be that much of an issue, but I realized that the extension just… breaks when the font is incorrect. This is because I write horrible code, and the location of everything is configured for the correct font only. I’m also too lazy to configure a proper fallback font.

What I did was I just downloaded the font and put it into the assets folder. Yes, it’s that simple. Yes, I did write a 3 paragraph devlog for a change that took me only a few minutes.
