Hey everyone, so we got a bit of a problem… (Check image below).
I was trying to make a hole in my PCB, and I think I inverted the whole thing?
Like it just randomly got all of these empty spaces in places where it once had material…
Unfortunately I can’t just go back since I closed FreeCAD when this happened cause I tought it was just a visual bug (Yes, I know, a very dumb decision
).
This actually happened about two weeks ago, and I kinda dropped the project when this happened, but I decide that I want to finish this HackPad!
If there’s really nothing I can do to fix this then I guess I’ll just redesign it from the ground up, but that would take quite a lot so I’d really prefer it if someone could help me with this in the comments.

hmm i dont have a idea why this happens but u could switch to fusion because their student license is free
I would recommend designing in fusion or onshape?
maybe check if you need to invert the directions of one of the extrudes on the current design
I don’t know FreeCAD, but in Fusion, you can select a face to extrude. Maybe you accidentally selected the top face to extrude? Also, see if you have a design history and can go back to a previous save/version of your model before that happened :)
