I attatched the components of the car together and managed to get the wheels working. However I have come to the realization that I do not have enough voltage to power the wheels so I will still have to think of a solution

A 1s LiPo battery would be in the right voltage range, but it can be a little bit expensive to get a charger and LiPo bag to charge batteries safely. These are common batteries in drones and RC cars, and I use them in one of my Stardance projects. You definitely will want to research these batteries before deciding on them if it’s something you actually consider so that you know how to safely charge/discharge them.
