Today I picked up my project after a hiatus. I had already worked on programming the motor drivers a week back and today I tested the hardware to see if the code would work. Unfortunately nothing happened today and I couldn’t figure out why so I will have to test again. I used an arduino to receive analog signals from two rheostats (which acts as the joysticks for the controller for now) and send signals to the motor drivers to control the speed and direction of the motors. Because the rheostats did not connect to jumper wires or breadboards, I had to connect it to wires with tape. At one point I saw a small spark in the rheostat, I think due to the breaking of connection of the wires (please inform me if this is a safety hazard), and I also forgot to record the first 25 minutes of setting up or so LOL. I am working on printing out the parts which will come soon after I figure out these tolerance issues.
