looks like i finished the first revision of the centering mechanism, using springs on each side of the y-axis movement mechanism to be completely balanced in the middle of the 2nd and 3rd gear column. now, as the actual movement is finished - now i need to add a bit of tactile feedback - probably with cams or a dedent mechanism. :)
