Premise of my project - First a user will be prompted to either use our canvas to identify stars or browse through the “explore function” allowing them to see our data base of information without having to jot down the approximate location and spacing of a starsign which would be useful in the day time. If they do decide to use the canvas to find out more information about a star they see that canvas placement of dots will be sent through our machine learning model which was originally going to be written by me but I’ve since outsourced it to a really nice tool called Google teachable mind which allows me to train the machine learning model itself through a GUI rather than the tedious task of working with something like c for machine learning. Anyways after a star is correctly identified the output is comprised of a page which gives the user 3D models to look at the stars which accurately depict distance, more information on how we historically used the starsign to navigate and even a composition section (this is where the API’s will come in use) to find out what each star is physically made of.
