So, after creating the body for middle finger, I’ve added a head cap on the top which replicates the finger’s head. I’m considering whether I should add a touch sensor on top which would be determined based on this project’s progress.
Over almost 3 hours, I:
For each finger I followed almost the same rules that I’ve been learning so far, particularly the space for parts to fit together and maths to keep sizes consistent. For example, I learned that the ring hole with 3mm must come with a joint of 2.8mm (0.1-0.3mm). I also learned about the sweep command which helps me create a path of rectangle allowing the cable to go through and control the finger.
Researched about hand dimension. One of my weaknesses is designing parts that could fit together. So for this first design of figner, I really focus on the space and how they fit together. I struggled with lots of measurement stuff but then moved forward still because I can adjust them later. Next step is to get the finger fully done with the top part. Maybe thinking about adding the sensor for the arm to feel?
