Hi there! This page is mean to walk you through how the hardware flow works on Stardance step-by-step.
We’ll go through how to create a hardware project, how to log your time, how to get funding to buy the parts, and then how to get a payout!

here’s how it works:
1. Design hardware projects
The first step to making hardware projects is to make a design for your project! Once you create a new hardware project, it’ll show up in your projects list!
To get rewards from Stardance, you’ll need to track your time with Lapse - it records a timelapse of you building and files the time against a Hackatime project. We set that Hackatime project up for you as soon as your project becomes a hardware project, so it’ll be waiting for you to pick in Lapse.

Once you’re in lapse, you can start recording your work! Keep working along your project. Make sure to make devlogs often.
For demo links, Onshape urls or KiCanvas work great! Google drive links will be returned
Once your design is done, you’ll need to submit it to 1 of 4 tiers to get funding! You can read more about that here

2. Build your hardware projects, get Stardust!
Once you finish building your projects, record a demo video and ship it! You’ll get 5 stardust for every hour you spent building your hardware project!
we’ll have different ways to earn more stardust later, including making a video!
3. Spend your Stardust in the Shop!
Once you get Stardust, you can spend it in the shop to get awesome rewards!
