Wrote all the code to have the AI generate files and folders! Now I just need to wire everything together and keep it coherent.
Figuring out how to write a FUSE filesystem at all to start. Managed to get a little hello-world running in Rust.

All wrapped up. Made a calculator! It’s a simple accounting style one where you do one operation at a time. I modeled a little state machine on paper to work out all the states and transitions. Quite fun! AI did the CSS fyi.
Added closing and opening windows and desktop icons! Got my own little way of reopening windows - they’re kept on the left side of the top bar. Had some fun making a demo app of “System Stats” that are just random, changing binary. All that’s left is to make my final, most complicated app: a calculator.
I’ve actually been working like 2 hours, hackatime just was misconfigured. Anyways, I’ve built the core of the OS! Had lots of fun with trying to make the guide’s structure cleaner and more modular and extensible, which is cool. Screenshot attached. Just finished window dragging!
