My most recent (and second ever) web project is something I've been looking forward to building for a while :))
I love playing my dopamine dose of daily games and decided to put my own spin on a wordle clone, and made Pokedle.

I've loved Pokemon since I was little and my older brother taught me the art of the GBA Emulator on my barely functional Motorola phone, and to this day the obsession hasn't left me, so here we are!

I'm definitely still not in my element in web, but this was a fun way of getting some practice in! Definitely suffered a lot less than last time, so I'm seeing improvements, at the least:))

Once I get better at web I'll definitely add more animations and make it look 10x better, but for now I'm pretty proud of my (small, but worthy!) coding accomplishment.

Added a title and made the final message pop out a bit more, then deployed and edited the readme file for the repo
Also got sidetracked and addded a bunch of 5 letter pokemon names to the words.js file

Finished the base game functionality - now the keyboard’s keys change colors based on their status! Crazy:))
And played around with some different Pokemon-esque colors (not quite it yet, but I wanted to get rid of the boring white backround and not vibrant enough yellow)
Now I want to make it prettier, add a title and make the You won! or You lose! message more prominent.

Also need to come up with more 5 letter pokemon as eligible answers, maybe in a future rendition I’ll make it work for any no. of letters, and make it only accept as valid guesses actual pokemon.

Finished implementing the keyboard and I can now type, delete, enter. Up next I’m working on actually checking the guesses and coloring letters:))

Started working on my pokemon themed wordle :)) Made 3 key components - board, tile, and keyboard, and started working on some of the board logic.

Today I've worked on my first ever website!
After following some really entertaining, interactive (and sometimes hard) lessons and tutorials from CodeDex, I've finally put my (beginner) web dev skills to use and made a website.

Of course, out of my own stubborness, I jumped into a harder tutorial than needed, and just slightly lost my mind a couple of times from confusion, but I made it nevertheless.

It was fun working with the Spotify Web API, and it was a really special and unique experience for me to use it for my first ever website, since music is such a big part of my life and identity:))

My final goal is building a more complex and interactive app with music using Spotify's APIs, so stay tuned for that, but this was certainly a fun stepping stone :)

🎵 Wrapped up work on my first ever web project!!

It was a fun and rewarding (and frustrating) experience, as it always is with coding, and I enjoyed (and hated) every second:)

Still looooots to improve, and will surely do so :))
