Slowly will turn this little dream world into something real 👀

First log of Dream World
Started building Dream World while learning Three.js + React Three Fiber.
Got my first little 3D scene working — house, trees, random giant trees because why not lol. ![]()
Still super early, but we’re cooking :’)
More to come.
Polished the UI of the widgets, improved wallpaper customization, refined the app UX, resized the apps, added a bunch of new features, and made countless small tweaks across the OS.
A lot has gone into this project, and I really hope it becomes the star project considering how much time I’ve poured into it. 🥹
Still more to come!
Kobayashi-chan is here!
Chat, open apps, change settings. She remembers, reacts, and doesn’t mind a little flirting. :)
Major changes!!
A summary of everything I’ve done over the past 5 days.
Lots of design work too—especially Figma stuff. StarDance doesn’t log my Figma hours though… too bad.
Damnn!! Been a while haven’t posted anything bout my Work!!!!!!

Added a lots of appppss!!! embeded few games, hackclub and typingtest.com … and Yeah added my own built apps (Json Lab , DevScope, and MoneyTrail)
Another day on Kobayashi OS. Damn, I really turned the AI Assistant into what I actually wanted it to be. And yeah, now the Shorts app isn’t just some mere app with a icon sitting there — it actually has Shorts embedded hehe. And yeah… there’s a Kanvas app now too lol.
Damn !! Been a while !!
Yup was working on the assistant.. yeah which actually works!!!
changed the architecture of ai chatbot and yeah its much better now !! and Yeah some more tweaks ongoing
Making the UI of music player nicer ..
BIG ALERT IN KOBAYASHI OS ![]()
I SUCCESSFULLY BUILT AN AI ASSISTANT FOR MY WEB OS! 🎉
It can actually understand commands and interact with the OS — opening apps, handling actions, and more.Another huge step for Kobayashi OS. I’m learning a LOT about AI while building this, and it’s honestly crazy seeing everything come together.
Worked on the adding more apps.. with functionality and zero css hehe
but yeah add it later currently working on a ai chat box on my project apps
Today was more focused on research and architecture than coding, but I still made some solid progress. I perfected the widgets, made the right-click menu fully functional, and built a basic music player that’s already working. I’ll be focusing on the CSS and visual polish for the music player tomorrow. Overall, another productive day on Kobayashi OS.
Spent some more time working on the Widgets section 👀
Made the widgets draggable and closable only when the widgets menu the widgets top bar is being displayed. Also fixed up some CSS issues, added a right-click context menu, and added an Open option. So far, only one widget is actually openable; the rest will come later 😅
That’s enough UI work for today though — my shoulders and back are officially protesting. 💀
More to come!
Update
Made a few solid improvements to the widget experience:
A little update on the Widgets section
It’s already looking pretty cool
, but I’m not quite done with it yet.
There are still a few tweaks and some changes I want to make to how the widget system works under the hood. The goal is to make the whole experience feel cleaner, more flexible, and easier to build on as I keep adding more widgets.
For now, though… I’m pretty happy with how it’s coming together. 🚀More tweaks incoming.
Yahooooooo!
Made some awesome progress!
So happy to see it all coming together! 😄
🔥One step at a time, and the project is getting better and better! ✨ 💪
Fixed a few bugs and made some nice improvements to the camera flow.
Now, the last captured photo is shown directly in the camera. Tap it, and the gallery opens with the image displayed at full width and height. From there, you can swipe through the rest of your photos.
Still have a few things I want to tweak in this flow, but the experience is already feeling much smoother.
Next up: widgets !!
Been a while!
Added a working camera + gallery and implemented IndexedDB for storing captured photos.Honestly, the camera logic and IndexedDB were the biggest challenges since I knew nothing about them before this. Learned from internet resources, experimented, broke things, fixed them… and finally cracked it.
I worked on improving the app bar behavior in Kobayashi OS. I added the Menu app icon to the apps bar whenever it’s opened, and also implemented position shifting for existing apps so they adjust automatically when a new app appears. Small interaction improvements, but they make the desktop feel more dynamic and consistent.
