# Fred-Bot
Fred-Bot is a really simple slack-bot that got me to know the basics of bot-creation with javascript.

Managed to finally get the bot to work. Had quite the difficulties managing nest, and making sure the bot would run 24/7.

## Command List

| Command | Description |
| `/fred-bot-ping` | Check bot latency |
| `/fred-bot-help` | Get a list of all available commands |
| `/fred-bot-catfact` | Get a random cat fact |
| `/fred-bot-joke` | Get a random joke |
| `/fred-bot-cipher` | Decodes/Encodes text with the Ceasar Cipher 3 |

Continued working on the bot and added a new command:

/fred-bot-cipher

  • a ceasar cipher that encodes/decodes your text with the shift of 3.

Made a detection to see if the correct text was provided for it to work.
Example: /fred-bot-cipher decode Hello

Made good progress on the guide, implemented all provided commands from the guide and changed the profile-picture for the bot.

Added a custom domain and more!!!

First of all I added some new Art, Games and such I have created since first making this website -
then also created the custom domain, with which I had some issues but managed to get it working.

I will continue working on this site as part of the WebOS 2 Mission and already have some plans I want to do:

  • A fake Internet Explorer with my own Websites
  • A Paper Bin with abandoned Ideas and so on
  • Change the taskbar
  • changing the Music player to a small Icon in taskbar
  • add sfx
  • try out the in some app

Hope I can get These done, see you next time! (the image is a rough sketch of what I have in mind)

# SpaceSign
Get signs from Space (or rather from NASA) that update every day. This website fetches nasa's astronomy picture of the day and displays its title, image and a short description/explenation.

Other than the guide, I implemented that you can select previous dates to get the information about them. Also the .css styling is different to the guide because I wanted to try out some .css styling that I learned from doing the WebOS Mission.

What I noticed: Its sooo much faster to properly make a sketch beforehand of how you want to get the layout than doing it on the fly.

Started customisation by making by own favicon – not sure if
displaying it works correctly tho rn. Also implemented the calendar that I
tried to already do last time, but I couldn’t get it to work, which was because
I set the date to the future where NASA obviously didn’t have something in the
api lol. Thats why I also made it so that you can’t select dates in the future
to avoid confusion. Then I started on the css, found a website that did let me make
nice gradients, fits pretty well imo. Also used some css styling I found out
while doing the WebOS mission, such as backdrop-filter, box-shadow and hover. Important lesson I learned: Its sooo much faster to properly make a sketch beforehand of how you want to get the layout then doing it on the fly.

Following the tutorial I managed to connect the API to my .js even tho I had some dfficulties getting Node.js to work because my device just wouldn’t register it. But now that I got it working, the site simply displays the information from Nasa same as the image and title.

Made a lil explanation Text pop up before each minigame starting wich gave me a huge headache and still doesn’t really work like intended, also I have no idea why the quality is so bad or why I can’t adjust the size and its just bigger in some scenes and smaller in others.
But I am waay too dumb to figure anything out it seems, have definitely wasted too much time on this text popup, might actually quit this, bc I am hella down cause nothing seems to work right I am trying to do ):

Goose Games

You are a simple Goose that has a big appetite for Bread and annoying people. A simple WarioWare like game with fast paced minigames.

Controls:

WASD or Arrows to Move
Space to jump
Mouseclick

The Game currently features 3 Minigames:

Platformer - eat the 3 Breads as fast as possible
Clicker - eat all of the 6 Breads in time
Click-Smasher - Honk at the human enough times in the timeframe

All art assets have been created by me - yes, even the font. I still have many plans to extend the games size, polish everthing, add more randomness and make more art.
Created for Stardance Hackclub - Make a WarioWare Game.

Thanks for playing, hope you have fun!

Have pretty much finished the guide and implemented some of my own art already - not without its issues, had a bit of difficulties following the guide since I didn’t always know what it wanted me to do lol. But got everything done in the end.
Before shipping for the first time I still gotta decide what theme this game should have, what the protagonist should be and add one or two more minigames. - should play some warioware for inspiration haha.

Finished learning the basics of 3D-Modelling in both Blender and picoCAD2 by creating both a sheep and a fence in both of them. I am really proud of how the models turned out and have learned much along the way.

But this wasn't without its issues - starting the project I lost like one and a half hour of tracking due to me closing the tracking window - oops. Also my 3D-Printer just pretty much gave up printing nicely and I have no Idea how to fix it, it seems to be Z-Wobble but nothing I did seemed to change anything, its really frustrating. I hope that I can fix that soon.

The 3D-Print turned out pretty horrific because of that, and I still haven't managed to fix that in hours. Also it isn't like a perfect solution but I painted the different colored parts with a sharpie. The 3D-Models are fine tho and should print perfectly fine on other 3D-Printers, it's just this Z-wobble issue I am having that makes them look all botched and such.

Thanks for reading!

Fixed some parts of the picoCAD2 Sheep model (forgot the tail) and also
made a picoCAD2 Fence model, organized the directory of my github page.
And created a release of it so people can download it. Also got to
printing all of the models, but sadly after hours of trying still
couldn’t fix the Z-Wobble issues my printer is having so the models came
out looking a bit rough. Shouldn’t be an issue for anyone else printing
tho.

Hello again!:wavey:

First of all: 3D-Printed the Fence and the blender sheep, although the fence wasn’t very strong and broke in the back (it’s actually perfect like that for my display tho haha) - also idk why the layerline settings got messed up because the print of the sheep turned out really ugly, gonna have to reprint that and also print the picoCAD2 sheep.

Second: Actually also made the picoCAD2 sheep, turned out cutie, and didn’t take that long but sadly picoCAD2 can’t export .stl, but my slicer also supports .obj so that’s fine.

Yippie, finished the sheep in Blender, made renders and a scenery next to it - also already exported the Sheep and Fence to .stl, I know the models aren’t very optimized for 3d-printing, but this is just to try and get to know blender a bit more and also have a print of this cutie patootie :wavey: Well other than that, I will also try to recreate the same model using picoCAD and compare the two, both how long they took me and how the model is in comparison. See ya :yay:

So, I ran into some issues starting this project. I wanted to learn how to use blender a bit and followed a tutorial, due to an error the timelapse didn’t capture using Lookout, so like 1,5h didn’t track. But it’s not that big of a deal, after getting to know blender I started my model I will try to 3d-print, I hope that its not too complex with the stuff around it, but yeah thats it pretty much for now.

Added the new “Games-App” where all games I’ve worked on are listed with a itch embed, description, images and so on. It took ages writing all of the text, getting the right layout and so on :3kcursed: - but I managed to do it. Also made the window change upon grabbing a bit and replaced the placeholder App Icons with new ones I drew - turned out noice in my opinion. I probably did more stuff but I forgot - thanks for reading through all of this

I think I pretty much finished my “Art-App”, added the option to click on the images to view them in bigger size, also made custom cursors and added many hyperlinks to my socials - most importantly I discovered animations! Made some slight changes to pretty much everything and added animations everywhere I could haha. I really like how the OS is looking, I have plans to add a new App in which there is Information about Games I worked on and more. lets see how that turns out. :yay:
