HTTTRPG!!
simple VTT with a server written in python and a client written in c++
includes many funny features such as:

  • a multidimensional array map where every “tile” is a number that you can inspect to see what it is!
  • a message system that lets you see messages sent by other players
  • dice rolling!
  • non Oauth authentication because Oauth scares me!
  • the demo is just the release files, i dont have the money to host an actual demo so you will have to test it yourself! sorry!
  • two different ways to configure the client!
  • other features

its an OK at best free alternative to VTTs which from what ive seen are typically fairly expensive

and so it is finished

wow i really didnt post much in the way of devlogs, i had more but i couldnt really port them well, im sure the reviewers will be able to see the macondo ones… /j
either way, i finished up the client and the server, so now they are finally done (at least, to the extent that i have tested. which is mostly on linux)
this took so long and i am excited to attempt to use it for the dnd sessions i run for my family (and maybe more if i spend a bit of money on a cheap vps)

well i have pretty much ran out of time with macondo (if i fail this next drivers test there is no way i can get an id to verify my age before it ends) so now im moving HTTRPG to here! it was originally supposed to work through telnet but then i realized telnet wouldnt work very well so i just kept going through protocols and decided on http. anyway it has been going pretty well, i have written (/ are writing) the server in python, and am writing the client in c++20 (mostly so i can compile it with cosmopolitan libc because its really cool imo) anyway yeah devlog because i cant just port them from macondo unfortunately :(
