# CloudCore OS

CloudCore OS is a browser-based desktop environment built with **HTML, CSS, and JavaScript**. It recreates the feel of a modern operating system directly inside the browser, featuring a window-based interface, application management, personalization, and persistent local storage.

The project is focused on creating a lightweight and expandable WebOS while demonstrating what can be achieved using only standard web technologies.

---

## ✨ Features

* Draggable and focusable application windows
* Responsive layout
* Glassmorphism-inspired UI

---

## 💡 How It Works

CloudCore OS runs entirely inside the browser.

Every application opens inside its own movable desktop window, providing an operating system-like experience without requiring any installation.

User data is stored locally using the browser's Local Storage API, allowing applications, wallpapers, notes, and settings to persist between sessions.

CloudCore OS began as a simple desktop webpage and gradually evolved into a functional browser-based operating system. The project features draggable windows, a built-in browser, notes, a journal, a calculator, a settings app, and an app store.

One of the biggest challenges was creating a window system that allowed applications to be moved freely while staying organized. Another challenge was implementing persistent storage so wallpapers, notes, journal entries, and installed apps would remain saved after refreshing the page.

The most interesting part of development was turning the desktop into a customizable environment. Users can change wallpapers, upload their own backgrounds, install or uninstall apps, and personalize the experience.

The project was built entirely with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. HTML provides the structure, CSS handles the visual design and effects, and JavaScript powers the operating system's functionality. Overall, CloudCore OS became a much larger and more advanced project than originally planned, making it both challenging and rewarding to develop.
