I’ve completely reworked and elevated the Birthday Memory Museum into a bespoke, interactive 3D virtual exhibition crafted with a warm “Velvet Noir & Polished Brass Atelier” aesthetic.

Key Highlights & New Features:

1. Bespoke Visual & Architectural Redesign:

   • Replaced generic styles with a dark velvet and candlelight color palette, frosted brass glassmorphism panels, and classic gallery typography (Cinzel, Playfair Display, and Caveat cursive).
   • Calibrated volumetric ray beams, soft airborne dust motes, and floor mirror reflections for a cinematic experience.

2. Interactive Polaroid Memory Flip & Reactions:

   • Visitors inspecting framed memories can flip cards to read handwritten vintage postcards on the back with custom timestamps.
   • Added interactive reaction badges (Love, Cheers, Party, Sparkle, Cake) that stick to memories with playful animations.

3. Magic Wand Sparklers & Fireworks Celebration:

   • A smooth 60 FPS golden fairy-dust sparkler trail follows the visitor’s cursor and touch gestures.
   • Top-bar fireworks launcher with keyboard shortcut (F) to trigger multi-colored aerial bursts.

4. Atmospheric Gallery Mood Controller:

   • Added a dynamic lighting switcher to change the museum ambiance on the fly (Candlelit Velvet, Starlit Galaxy, Rose Gold, and Vintage Sepia).

5. Keepsake Souvenir Card Exporter & Grand Finale:

   • Added a 1-click souvenir snapshot generator that renders a framed Polaroid keepsake card of the 3D scene with personalized calligraphy for immediate download.
   • Confetti cannon burst and real microphone candle-blowing interaction at the birthday cake finale.

6. Fluid Multi-Input Scroll & Performance Engine:

   • Responsive navigation supporting smooth mouse wheel increments, mobile swipe touch gestures, trackpad panning, and arrow keys.
   • 3-tier adaptive GPU governor guaranteeing locked 60 FPS across low-end mobile devices and high-end desktop screens.

7. Clean Code & Comprehensive Documentation:

   • Fully rewritten, clean codebase stripped of all AI boilerplate and emojis, accompanied by a detailed README guide for the Studio curator workshop and 1-click Netlify publishing.

Simulating a full desktop operating system inside a browser comes with a major challenge: desktop windowing systems are typically built for large monitors and mouse pointers. But we know hackathon judges, contributors, and friends often open projects directly on smartphones, iPads, and split screens.

Today, we officially rolled out v1.1.0-responsive, making स्याउ OS (Syau OS) adapt seamlessly across any device while keeping its signature frosted glass aesthetic and fluid Devanagari typography intact!

1. 🪟 Adaptive Viewport Clamping & Auto-Maximized Windows

• On small screens (<768px), windows automatically adapt their width (calc(100vw - 16px)) and auto-maximize to fit the viewport.
• Bounding boxes are clamped so window titlebars and close controls never get pushed off-screen.

2. 🌊 Touch-Optimized Floating Dock

• Dock icons dynamically scale down and adjust spacing on smaller screens.
• Added smooth horizontal scroll with hidden scrollbars for mobile screens with high app density.
• Enlarged hitboxes so icons are easy to tap with a finger.

3. ⏱️ Responsive TopBar & Nepali BS Calendar

• Re-architected TopBar flex priorities: keeps the स्याउ OS brand logo, live Bikram Sambat (२०८३ BS) date widget, and Dark/Light mode switcher cleanly visible without overflowing on narrow screens.

I coded my first personal website! I used a bit of Ai as a learning tool to ask questions about what certain html and css tags mean for more explanation. At the start I found the description for how to use html files and tags to be a little difficult to understand for someone who has never even seen codes before. I worked around this issue by watching videos of other people using these tags and that made me understand how they work. I am overall very proud of this project in general and how I was able to essentially teach myself how to do something that I thought was just “behind the scenes.” I hope this project was able to better prepare me for future opportunities and that this site gives me the resources I need to learn even more!
