I’m finally back to working on my project!
The last days, I mostly worked on the internal arrangement of all the necessary parts like pcb, battery, servos etc.
The mechanism for controlling the aileron/flaps now consists of two gears on top of each other at a 90° angle, so the servos wouldn’t have to be in the middle of the plane, creating a space problem.
I put the battery, pcb and ESC controller onto a removable tray, so taking the battery out is easier.
The tray will be fixed with screws in the back, and be connected to the removable front part of the plane for a semi-easy removal while also holding in place while flying.
I also fixed a real-world issue with the gear, where in CAD it would fit perfectly, while being out of place irl.
Now the only ramaining thing to do is to design the mechanism to steer the rudder, which is quite tricky, because there is pretty much no space at all to attach anything in the very back of the plane.
See you on the next devlog :)
