Redesigned the homepage and site UI
- New hero, navbar, category strip and License pop-up.
- Features shown as rows, an Apple-style footer, and new 404 and error pages.
- New app icon everywhere (favicons, email logo) and a new social share image.
- New hero app video in 1080p, slowed down.
- Redesigned pricing page that says “one-time payment”.
- Install guide with animations, shown after you download.
- New help center with topic cards, search, and help inside the ⌘K command menu.
Moved the whole site from Vercel to Cloudflare Workers
- macwall.app now runs on Cloudflare; Vercel is kept only as a backup.
- I connected the domains, moved the scheduled jobs (cron) over, set up caching for the landing pages, and fixed visitor country/IP detection on Cloudflare.
- Before the move I cut Vercel costs: videos served from R2, longer caching, lighter images, smaller 404 pages.
Phone visitors
- On a phone, “Send to my Mac” emails you the download link instead of downloading a Mac file.
- “Set on Mac” opens the app directly through a macwall:// link.
Wallpaper gallery and search traffic
- 45 wallpaper collections, more detailed wallpaper pages, and guides written to answer questions directly.
- Gallery sorted by most liked, with a “Download free” button and a sticky bar at the bottom.
- Faster loading: static gallery pages, lighter images, and full-size wallpaper files no longer served.
