ZemalVerse OS

This is my very own OS that can be run in the web!

Ship #1 Pending review

I made my first WebOS called ZemalVerse OS using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It has four draggable windows: Welcome, Journal, Projects and Travel. In Journal, I added different pages about me. In Projects, I added my own work with category filters. In Travel, I added countries I want to visit and a wishlist that stays saved even after refresh.

The most challenging part for me was making the windows draggable and making everything work properly together. I also found it a little difficult to save the wishlist and test every feature, but I kept fixing things step by step.

I am proud that I made something different from a normal website. Instead of just scrolling, people can open windows, move them around and explore my little world.

To test it, please click the icons on the left side. You can open, close and drag all windows. In Journal, try all four pages. In Projects, test the filters. In Travel, try all five countries and add places to the wishlist. You can also test the sticky note message button and the live clock.

I think my ZemalVerse OS is finally done!!

I added My Projects and Dream Destinations, where I can show the things I’ve made and save countries I want to visit.

I also worked more on the design because at first it looked too plain and not really like me. I changed the fonts, made it look more like a little diary and added a sticky note with messages that change when you click it.

I also added another Journal page and Italy to my travel app. I had a problem with my JavaScript because I forgot a comma, but I fixed it!

I tested everything and all four apps are working now. I learned a lot while making this little OS and I’m really happy with it!

I worked more on my ZemalVerse OS today!

I learned how to make windows move around the screen using JavaScript. I also added buttons to close and open them again. At first it was a little confusing, but after testing everything, I got it working!

I also made my first app called My Journal, where people can read about my story, projects and dreams. I’m happy with how it’s turning out!

I started building my own web-based operating system called ZemalVerse OS!

So far, I have created a welcome screen, added a beautiful sakura wallpaper, designed a transparent window and a purple top bar. I also learned how to add a live clock using JavaScript.

I had some trouble getting the clock and Hackatime tracking to work, but I managed to fix both! I’m excited to continue building and adding more features.
