An oscilloscope-style serial monitor for embedded work: plot the numbers your microcontroller prints, watch the raw console, record sessions and replay them later, with or without hardware.

Ship #1 Pending review

I got tired of the Arduino serial plotter freezing and losing data whenever I wanted to look back at something, so I rebuilt my serial monitor as a proper scope-style tool. The part I’m happiest with is the plumbing: the port gets read on its own thread, pausing the display only freezes what you’re looking at while recording keeps going, and anything that gets dropped shows up in a counter instead of vanishing quietly. I also added a seeded simulator so I could test without a board plugged in, and that caught a real bug in how recordings handle a failed disk write. The tests caught that one; the GUI I could only check once I ran it on Windows myself. Next I want a proper screenshot and an icon, and maybe binary protocol support.

DEVLOG 2 In the last 2 hours , I worked on the colour schemes , UI/UX of the project . Main issues in other serial monitors are the Bad UI/UX so i am trying to make the user interface possible . This is the greyscale theme , i will add options for multiple light and dark themes .

Devlog 1 : I am working one a oscilloscope type serial monitor for hardware and embedded projects . Using arduino ide for system monitoring is pain so i have decided to make one analysis software for hardware where users can record , pause and play the readings , analyze them and export them for future reference . I have written a basic function to register channels and establish connection to hardware using usb ports and logging setup function .
