A small 99NITF fan game that’s text-based.

Ship #1 Pending review

I made changes and updated an old project I’ve been working on since I started learning python since I learned new, and better things. The most challenging part was finding where all the problems in my code was coming from: there used to be this problem where none kept popping up so I had to locate which function was making it. I’m proud that this is my first game, but I’m specifically proud of how I was able to handle making, fixing, and debugging functions, something that past-me really struggled on doing.

For testing:
This game is case sensitive, type exactly as seen! There’s a lot of dialogue, so you might have to scroll to view some of it.

If you’re curious and looking through the code, you might find a secret option that wasn’t included in the printed choices :)

Recently, I’ve been condensing some of my old code from when I first started learning Python (last yr) and adding new functions to make coding more smoother. I’m thinking of adding a way to color dialog and clear the screen with something my friend introduced me to: ANSI escape sequences. However, for now, I just have the functions they’ll be going in set up cause I could not figure out how to clear the screen last night…
