LxgendOS. A Simple operating system designed to run in your very own browser.
It includes multiple features and apps:
- Clock app for timer, countdown, Alarm and current time
- Calculator for basic numerical operations
-Notepad for scribbling things down - Themes app for changing the wallpaper and the accent colour of the OS.
- Paint app for drawing stuff freehand. Multicolor supported.
- Web browser for surfing the vast internet (limited)
- Shell is a built-in command prompt app for controlling the OS
- Files to view folders and edit text files.

All windows opened are resizable. When loading into OS, the user will be greeted with a boot screen with current time.
I have always loved to work on projects which have multiple segments on which i can expand upon and WebOS is a perfect example of this. I am eager to implement way more features and apps i the future. Actually making the project was fairly straightforward and smooth except for some bugs here and there which took a lot to find. Overall, im proud of this project and would love to work on it more!
Final Devlog before Ship #1. Today worked mainly on bug fixing and animations. Added one new app- the web browser. Due to restrictions, some websites will fail to load. Added the bg images into folders so you can now open the image and actually view it. zooming also works. Fixed a lot of bugs with the boot screen, app opening and overall tiny details which improve the experience a lot. I have more plans to expand upon this and im eager to see how ship #1 goes!
Added 5 new apps-
Clock - Timer, stopwatch, alarm, and current time
Paint - For free-hand drawing. supports multiple colours and an eraser. a bit buggy
Store - It currently contains apps which are gonna be coming in upcoming devlogs!
Image Viewer - To view images (duh)
shell - Execute commands and control the OS
Another big feature is that all windows are Resizeable now! To open an app or file you have to double click instead of single click.
The biggest design change- made the bottom bar a floating island
Bruh everyday i code for like ~6hr but the editor only tracks 4hr
Huge upgrade. Added a file explorer app in which you can view and edit text file. Added a control panel in which you can adjust volume, brightness as well as see wifi, bluetooth, etc. Added a booting screen which shows time. Added the ability to save notepad text to specific folders and give names. In the themes app, added a option to change the accent colour (default was red) and also finally an option to import an image from your computer as bg. also added a search bar for all the apps at bottom. Overall a good upgrade. Plan on adding more essential apps like web browsing, terminal, a mockup VSC :D It also includes some easter eggs
Added 2 New apps- Notepad and a Themes app. Changed the overall colour palette default to Red&Black. Added the ability to select from predefined set of 5 bg or plain colours. also implemented a dark/light mode toggle. Overall a big improvement and kind of a mix of mac & Windows.
Created the Beginning of LxgendOS. It currently has a clock which syncs with the user’s current time and a draggable calculator window for basic numerical calculations
