Pathway

I had exams last week, so I am a bit late. I need to get a lot of work done in the next couple of days.
Anyways, this devlog covers all of the changes that I made since the last devlog. First of all, I have added the roadmaps of 5 countries in the countries tab. The animation of the checkpoint traveling as the user scrolls down in any one of the roadmaps was a bit difficult to make. It is still a bit glitchy. I will work on it again in the upcoming days.
Also, the toolkit tab is now grouped into main sections. It only has one main section now. I will add more sections in the upcoming days. Additionally, I have organized the content to be a bit cleaner and more minimalistic as I myself felt a bit overwhelmed reading through the content. Moreover, it took a lot of time to gather and check all of the facts.
It has been quite a while since I lasted posted a devlog. I know that I take way too much time before I post a devlog. However, it is just that I do not feel like posting before I do make some actual progress.
Anyways, back to the progress - So, the Plan tab is finished. Basically, you get to answer up to eight short questions and then Pathway builds a dated plan for the USA, Finland, Turkey, Malaysia or New Zealand from 117 sourced facts. The planner works backwards from each deadline and runs twice i.e. once without safety margins to decide whether an intake is still possible.
The hardest part was the animation (as expected). It is because the phone’s frame log showed stutters which needed some serious fixes.
Ooopsss! I figured that I have to post a devlog soon.
Anyways, I have started working on Pathway. It has now its real app shell i.e. four tabs, light and dark themes with a manual switch, and a design built around a metro map.
The hardest part was the status bar. On my phone, the clock became unreadable in light mode until I found that Capacitor 8 never draws behind the system bars on Android 14 and older. So, the app now asks for it itself.
