A simple timer app which enables the user to set their task, put on a pomodoro style focus session or custom timer (Including cool fluid animation :D ) which also calls to an API for inspirational quotes for the user.
I made a focus timer with a simple, custom built UI that is designed to remove the clutter you usually get with online/external timers. I also added a sidebar where users can add essential apps, giving them quick access to whatever they need while working.
The timer is connected to an API that provides an inspirational quote for each session (or click), and I added an animated countdown directly into the timer itself.
One of the trickier parts was getting the timer animation to feel fluid and not too disturbing while making sure the countdown finished at roughly the right time across 3 different devices, taking quite a bit of testing and adjusting to get it feeling right.
I’m proud that I managed to bring multiple working features together into something I can actually use myself. Instead of relying on external focus timers, I now have my own that I can keep improving and adding features to whenever I need them :D
The website uses pomodoro technique by default, with repeated work and break sessions followed by a longer break. Users can also use the custom timer if they want more control over their focus sessions.
