Hi there, this is the Professor OS I made using HTML,CSS& JS. Here you can explore many things like

  • You can paint whatever picture that comes to your mind and download that drawing as a png image!
  • You can maintain your tasks with to-do list
  • You can explore & test out applications like calculator, calendar, file manager, etc.
  • You can have the in-built bella-ciao song’s intrumental music throught your experience, and have fun!

These are only possible because I followed the guide and took some of the other resources help!

I genuinely struggled for every application very hard!!
Every debug got me my pulse rate, and sometimes I even hesitated to code continuously because debugging sessions were so hard to me…
I even took a break and studied all the css and javascript tutorials.
And then when I almost got relieved from the stress I got back to my track. Now after so much of learning from tutorials and videos, debugging got me easier!
Anyhow, I was so impressed by the WEB-OS 1 guide structure!
I have not completed a challenge that was given in Part-4. But may be I think I can work in future!

I am proud of myself because I learned something throught the process!

This is the final working project clip📹 after updates that I had done since last devlog.

Now I added stopwatch & ToDo List applications functioning and they all are working fine according to me!

Every application is now scalable if they are dragged from the right-down corner’s icon in their respective application window!
I also added Bella Ciao Instrumental music at the right side bottom of the screen. Its upto the user’s wish to play it or not.

<—— AI USAGE –––––>

I did some work at the start of the application’s building but later struggled to continue and got strucked, so i then took AI help to properly set the code. I also took help from the # WEB OS Guide page.

I made sure to understand the mistakes I had made, learn how the code worked, and understand the suggested changes before integrating them into my project. I didn’t just copy and paste the code blindly; I took the time to understand what I was adding and why.

Made some of the apps working in their respective app windows.

I spent some time trying to adapt & code everything on my own following the WebOS 1 guide, but later I ran into soo much trouble. I later took help from Chat-GPT.
I ran into errors while trying to make the app icons move/drag functioning.

GPT gave me a clear explanation of where the logic was broken and helped me finally achieve the goal. Also I took GPT’s help in making the applications working!

I added the time and date for the desktop. I also had designed os-theme based icon images for some applications. Comment down any new ideas for this os and let me know!❤️😎

Hey Guyzz..
[My 1st Devlog]
I simply sketched a few things and started working on..

This OS is inspired from MoneyHeist🎭.
Since the whole theme revolves around cities and codenames, I decided to give every application a city-name codename instead of using the usual app names.
Looking forward to successfully finish it!
