What did you make?

It made a fully custom (and in some way castomable) website based on Witcher 3: Wild Hunt universe. Also on other parts of games and books. I built it using: HTML, CCS and Javascript. It was my second time using this langues that much. I really wasn’t using them that much before. I’m happy that I hade a chance to do this.

What was challenging?

This was completly new form of work for me. Like, yea I created sites before, but they were meant to look like sitI made a builded in local audio player named Dandelion’s Lute after one of character from book.es, not Operating Systems. I think that getting out of that type of thinking that I am creating a website.

What are you proud of?

Of course I’m proud of myself! Probably the most of local audio player named Dandelion’s Lute after one of character from book.

What should people know to test your project?

Today I made a fully working audio player with 5 orginal songs from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

  • Silver for monsters
  • Kear Morhen
  • Steel for Humans
  • Geralt of Rivia
  • Wilcza zamieć (The wolven storm) Polish Version

Also:

  • Added/Fixed option to customize wallpaper and color theme.
  • Create new option that allows you to change System clock and Time Display

You can see a working audio player on the video!

Today I made some progress and tidied a few things up. Specifically:

  • Added a job system and a currency.
  • Added settings with options to change the background, etc.

I fixed:

  • An issue where windows moved very slowly; the movement wasn’t smooth and was just annoying.
  • The inability to close or minimize windows. The buttons were purely decorative before, but not anymore.

You can see a demonstration of everything I fixed in the video. I’ve also included a snippet of the code. I’m writing everything in Visual Studio Code!

I’m currently creating my own operating system based on The Witcher universe. Especifically, the third game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
I’ve managed to build a working bestiary application.
In the future, I plan to add:

  • Contract boards
  • An alchemy guide
  • Gwent
  • A music player featuring tracks from the game, like “Silver for Monsters”

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know!
PS. The browser component is going to be removed!
(Also site is “larger” I just zoomed to 200%)
