Hi! Right now your CAD is missing a lot of the neccessary parts. Make sure that your CAD hass all of the parts you are going to use(except for the screws).
This means that you need to design the carrige which will hold the laser module, and love left to right, and the sliders that will move the carrige forward and backward. This lets you see how all of the parts will connect, and lets you design the parts you need to print.
You should be using CAD software like onshape or fusion, because it is a lot easier to create assemblies and simulate the motion, along with importing parts.
Also make sure that you get safety parts like laser goggles, and possibly a shield around the module. Safety is important!
few days ago when i was cutting acryallic sheet for my project it was kind of really tuff so insted of hand cutting i decided to make a laser cutting machine so at first i find right parts to build then i design 3d models for mount all motors bearings and other parts after that i created the repo and add all minecar parts to build it and i understand that it is quite complex to understand so i would make a tutorial video while building it:)
