Im going insane yay!!! I started routing my leds, but my very nice choice of making the reversible PCB has practically finished me. Almost at the end of the routing, I realized some of my diodes had their pins swapped and I had routed almost the entire thing. I have to redo it again. I finally finished my RJ45 connector and now I have to figure out the USB-C connector. These leds will be the end of me fr fr. Boy I hope this will work.
I finished my schematic and 60% of my PCB routing. I had to sweat a lot for this because of my design choices(lmao), I had to change my mcu, find a good footprint for the interconnect I can easily source, make a new footprint for the reversibility(my design choices lmao). Anyway, It was pretty fun but the problem was to get the right orientation of diodes because of the LEDS. Anyway, I guess I’ll add a bulk cap instead of the per leds capacitor(too much space and there is no point, as people use it even without caps. I am going insane
Still working on the schematic. I completed most of the schematic today, but I am still confused about what to use as interconnect between the two. I am still researching about this, but I completed the LED matrix, Switch matrix and the remaining USB-C protection circuit. Long way to go…
Started a design for a split keyboard! I decided upon the layout, a 6x4 and a 4 key thumb cluster. I am going for a reversible design for the PCB, to save cost and also to give myself a new challenge. I finalized all the components, like the LEDS, MCU etc. I am also using an onboard mcu instead of a devboard, so fun.
