After receiving a change request I decided to make some adjustments to my Personal Site. The biggest change was the design. My first version used a VS Code theme. Keeping that look without relying too much on AI was a quite difficult for me so instead of pushing hard the idea I choose to change my theme and go with the current design that I can keep building and improving my self.
Of course, the changes didn’t go completely smoothly. 😅
I spent almost 2 hours trying to figure out why the fonts and background images weren’t loading on GitHub Pages. Everything looked perfectly code wise and i was wondering what was wrong.
Then when I checked each and every file the structure of the project I found out that my My style.css was inside the assets/css folder, but I was using paths as if the CSS file was in the root folder. 🤦‍♂️
Now that the changes are done I’m finally very happy with the version I have now. It feel more natural to work on, more personal and easier to keep growing.
