Devlog 7

Ready to submit!
I finished the firmware, and I’m ready to submit.
I also decided to add some diodes to the PCB for each key. So I had to change a lot, including the case.
But I am done now and everything is set up in my Github repository for submiting.

Made the basic firware for the hackpad.
Started to make the firmware in VSCode. So far I have made a version with just the keys coded.
Still need to add the LEDs and OLED screen.

Finished the case.
Made a simple case for then PCB to sit in. Added a cutout for the USB, OLED screen and the keys.
Might still add a design or something in the top right above the microcontroller.
Need to code firmware now.

Big update.
I’m now fully done with the PCB!
I added LEDs, and and OLED screen. Finished wiring everything too. Hopefully I just need to code firmware now and design the case.

Made my PCB
Made my PCB following the guide but then I decided to change it to be my own.
So I scrapped everything and started again. I added 9 keys and wired it all. I left space for an OLED screen or something on the top left, that I’m going to add later.

Worked on the cad part of my hackpad.
I made the case for the hackpad using Onshape.
I know that I have to make it my own, but I’m just following the guide for now, and I’m going to change stuff later.

Devlog 1

Finished schematic and imports.
This is the start of me making my very own hack pad!
I imported the care package and installed KiCad, Lapse, and lookout, so everything is working smoothly now.
I had some trouble with the default KiCad files but I managed to import all of them manually.
Going to start working on the PCB now!
