I created Tab Therapist because, as a high-school student and coder, I personally struggle with managing the large number of Chrome tabs I use for school, coding, research, DEBUGGING, and everyday browsing. I wanted to create a simple solution that would not only help me, but also help anyone who finds themselves overwhelmed by too many tabs.
Tab Therapist provides a clear quality-of-life improvement by giving users a Tab Health score, detecting and cleaning duplicate tabs, organizing tabs into categories, and allowing important tabs to be saved for later. I focused on making the project working, usable, and simple to understand, rather than just creating a concept.
I built the project from scratch and spent more than 3 hours designing, coding, debugging, and refining the extension.
The main problem I wanted to solve is simple: too many tabs create clutter and make it harder to stay organized and productive. Tab Therapist turns that problem into something users can actually manage with a little bit of humor along the way.
