Project Tracker is a self-hosted Flask web app for keeping track of all your projects. It has features such as notes, links, to-dos, and more for each project. You can also set a status for your projects, such as In Development, Planning, Canceled, and more. These statuses are color-coded and clearly visible on the project library page, making it easy to see the current state of all your projects. This was a really cool project to work on, and I’m actually going to use it in my own workflow. The hardest part was definitely handling all the database stuff. Getting everything to work properly was pretty annoying at times, but it taught me a lot. I’m really proud of how the project turned out and how much I learned while building it.

My project is finally done (Kind of), I still have to do the README, maybe I encounter some bugs, and i have to write my ship, but this was a fun project that I am going to use in daily.

I worked on some of the backend, which was a bit annoying, but I also made more progress on the UI, which was a lot more fun. Overall, I made some good progress on both the backend and frontend.

I tried doing something different with this project. Normally, I always start with the backend, but this time I started with the frontend. It’s definitely more fun because I can immediately see what I’m building, but it also makes me feel like I’m almost done when I’m really not. Right now, I have a nice-looking front page with a bunch of buttons that don’t actually do anything yet. So while starting with the frontend is more enjoyable, it also gives me a slightly false sense of progress.
