This is my very own OS that can be run in the web!

About the project
Angvey OS is a small desktop environment that runs entirely in the browser. I built it as a single HTML file so anyone can open it and start using it without installing anything.
It has the usual things you’d expect from a desktop — a menu bar, a dock, draggable windows, and a spotlight-style search. You can open Finder to browse a fake file system, write notes in TextEdit, use a calculator, and play around in a terminal. There’s also a settings panel where you can switch between light and dark mode and change wallpapers.
The part I’m most happy with is Orbit. It’s a task manager where your tasks float around a little sun. Tasks that are due sooner stay closer and move faster, so you can actually see what’s urgent just by looking at it.
I wanted Angvey OS to feel familiar but still have its own personality. The icons, colours, and wallpapers are all original, and I tried to keep the whole thing light and fun to use.
It’s not a full operating system, of course — just a small experiment that lives in the browser. But it was a really enjoyable project to build, and I’m glad I got the chance to make it.
