I made a Slack bot called “What’s the Tea?” ☕️
I originally wanted it to fetch news and this is the first version of that idea.
The challenging part was setting up the Slack app and figuring out how everything worked. This was also my first time working with JavaScript, so there was definitely a lot of learning and figuring things out along the way.
I’m most proud of actually getting something to work and shipping my first project. This is my first ship and even though it’s a small project, going from an idea to something I could actually run in Slack feels really good.
The current version is a prototype, so the news-fetching feature isn’t implemented yet though you can still try it on Slack.
