I finished up the project by finishing the style.css. I added buttons, I styled the text boxes and I did the same for the other pages (about, files, readme, ship) and did some touch ups. Next, I started working on the buttons in the app.js. I spent a while making the buttons work and then moved on to the text boxes and tags. Lastly, I spent an extremely, extremely long time trying to get the authentication to work. I originally had it so the user needed to run it themselves and add a file in the root with their github credentials, but I realised I could host it on hack club nest. Because I would be hosting it on hack club nest, I had to make it so the user could easily authenticate their github with limited work, so I created a github app and linked it to the project. After a lot of work and a lot of asking claude for help, I finally got it working and the project is now finished!

I tried to think of some styling, but I’m really bad at styling and I wanted to take inspo from the MacOS style, so I used a to make the main page into a box, added a background for both the and main background. Next, to really sell the idea of MacOS, i js decided to add some traffic lights at the top left that do absolutely nothing :D

I also added some styling for the buttons to be able to change pages and I spent a while experimenting, but I think it looks rlly nice now.

Creating repositories are hard, so I’m making a custom website which links with github to streamline the process of repository creation

After some careful consideration, I decided my website should:

• Guide you through the process of creating a coding repository
• Look good (possibly based on a MacOS theme)
• Authorize with Github to create the repository for you
• Guide you through the Readme by asking you questions to create the perfect readme
• Allow you to upload files straight from you finder

Currently, I created the text boxes and questions for the readme process and the buttons/links which will be in the final page. Currently, none of the buttons work, because I haven’t made my app.js yet and my style.css page is non-existent.
