Yay! super awesome sauceum marathon where I implemented a new buck-boost converter, fixed (and triple checked) some symbols, and laid it out. This time around, I went with the LM5118MH and two external BSC014N06NSATMA1 N-channel MOSFETs, these ones are much better at getting rid of heat than DPAK FETs are. But my love for DPAKs continues; the schottky diode on the output comes in a DPAK package! just a little issue, though, kicad really does not like DPAKs…. I have had to adjust nearly every single symbol using one. Maybe I´m doing it wrong…? anywho, I am using 80TLV180M12.5X13.5 for the capacitors and PM5405.472NLT for the inductor. ((the diode is V10100S-E3/4W, and I have also yet to add one »)) hopefully the finishing touches of this bit won´t be too tedious. I´ll have to look over this power routing some other time, too

Robot arm, robot arm, epic robot arm. I spent an entire hour making a schematic for the LM5176PWP for one of my power stages, only to later realize that the current loops mayyyy be a little troublesome, especially given my FETs of choice- the IRF3806TRPBF in a DPAK package…. I suspect that the LM5176PWP was designed with another FET footprint in mind but, I, being the cheapo (no, just kidding, I like DPAK and I would prefer to keep using these specific FETs as they are…. Okay, I just made a realization halfway through writing this- guess what. Kicad, for some reason, makes pin 2 of a DPAK the gate. where… it is usually the drain. So, this entire time, even before posting this project here, I have been wiring everything in entirely the wrong fashion. yay. Well, that´ll be fun to correct!
