A goofy series of puzzles to help me re-learn js canvas.

Ship #1

I made Panels, a game that was going to be an escape room, but is just a series of puzzles. I finally re-learned how to use html canvas, and had fun making and solving the puzzles.

The three levels are

  • Basic slider manipulation
  • A swap-to-solve puzzle
  • Tic tac toe, but with the squares shuffled

I also tried my best at a decent UI while I was at it :)

I’ve done some final work on Panels, my pseudo-escape room game. It now has the third and final level, which is a tic-tac-toe game against the computer, but with the squares shuffled around😈! It also has a winning animation, a somewhat-acceptable README, and will be shipped after this!

Panels was supposed to be an escape room, but now it is just a series of puzzles. I’m fine with that, though. So far it has three stages, and that seems to be enough for me. Some of them are hard to explain, so it might just be easier to try them yourself. I will probably just add a win animation, a hints page, and then ship it :)

I’ve been working on Panels, a little game with a bunch of puzzles, kind of like an escape room. I don’t really know much about game design, and haven’t made a game in a few months (okay, maybe 2 years), but so far it has the first stage of puzzles done, which mostly just involve manipulating some sliders :)
