2 radio modules that can extend the functionality of the phone
2 radio modules that can extend the functionality of the phone
Spent the entire time working on the CAD model in Onshape, for this version i decided to not obsess over the thickness as i encountered two issues 1) The Dupont wires and GPIO pins of the ESP-32 require a minimum of 20mm of height just to accomodate the wires. 2)there is no easy way to mount the electronics besides making a platform for the ESP-32 and the two other radio modules to rest on and it happens to waste potentially useful space.I need to now make holes for the antenna connectors , PTT button and the ESP-32 connection to the phone.
I continued my work on the enclosure by adding all the components and then I realized I had an IPEX4–>SMA Female connector missing for my 433mhz antenna for my LoRa Module and so I quickly found a connector and thought of how I can create an enclosure for this
I Started with formulating my idea then after finishing that I made a list of items required (BOM) and after doing that I made a schematic for the project with an ESP-32 and the two radio module in EasyEDA and then started working on an Enclosure in Onshape. The Hardware technicality is not much it’s the software that seems really complicated
