Ultimate Unity Systems

Devlog 2

Welcome to the second and last devlog of Ultimate Unity Systems.

Note: This project only supports Unity 6 and up with the new input system

Summary

Ok, so I have barely found time to work on this project, and since Stardance is ending soon, I got it to a shippable state and am going to ship soon.

I’ve added a few more systems, spent some time improving older systems (especially the custom ammo counter since that’s arguably my best one), and also slightly polished the main demo scene.

Basically I have 6 modular systems in my project. They all work good, and should be pretty modular.

Now, let me explain a bit more about this project. This is not a game, or anything meant for entertainment. This is for game developer who use Unity. The systems are created and organized in such a way that it is simple for others to add a system into their own project.

Each system is made to be modular, and to not interfere with other scripts. Inside the demo, there contains info about what are the requirements of each system, since some systems require other systems.

All systems are divided into folders to make adding them easy.

There is also a General folder inside the project. This folder contains many general scripts that are useful for many purposes. Here’s a simple list of what it contains:

  • The main demo scene that acts like a launcher for system demos
  • Billboard script
  • Folder script
  • Health Display Script
  • IDamageable
  • InfoPanel script
  • SceneSwitcher script
  • SliderValueForwarder script
  • TextDisplay script

I won’t go too much into detail, but these script are useful for a variety of things.

That’s all for this devlog. I’m going to try to ship this project today!
