This project is a combination of one of my previous completed missions “Give Your Website a Pulse” and WebOS 1! The background of the OS is NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day with the weather on the right and time and the calendar on the left. Using the search bar opens up the page within the OS itself and you can have multiple of those at once and they are all draggable! Overall this wasn’t too challenging or time consuming mainly because I already had the design / theme with that sort of transparent look but I’m really happy how it turned out!

Turns out that chrome, youtube and duckduckgo doesn’t support framing so I had to swap them out for other search engines. You can now have multiple different search tabs open at once and they are all draggable!

Finished the homepage and also started on getting apps inside my OS. So far not much luck but hopefully I’ll figure it out soon.

Devlog #001

I want to incorporate Nasa’s Astronomy Picture of the Day with the OS and have the background as the picture. I started off by making a simple clock to show the time, alongside the pre-existing API call to reach the image as well as the search bar from a previous mission.
