Devlog 4 - The Pad
The parts for my kit finally came recently and I got some time to put it together. After a while of assembling I finally flashed my firmware and got it all working, its the first time I’ve ever really soldered stuff and in my opinion its came out great. However I have ran into some issues, I completely forgot to record my assembly in lapse, my PCB doesn’t even fit into my case and the cut out for the screen was too small. On top of this the switches were so close together I had to snip the ends off. I have gone back through and just sorted the cut out of the screen and added some nice curves around the edges to make it overall nicer. I think the next things I do before I ship will be making sure it fits in the case, making a knob for the encoder and maybe making some really small keycaps due to my mistake of putting the switches so close
