Con Minigame Completed
It’s been nine days, and I’ve worked on one minigame for 12 hours. The typing based minigame for conning strangers is now complete! When you con someone, you choose how you want to con them, for example a fake business opportunity, magical exorcism, or maybe even an unwinnable game to bet money on. You then type out a randomly picked prompt that was premade, and you are scored on your speed and accuracy. This determines how likely you are to succeed. You can also decide how much stakes you want to give the con, so that’s something. When you get something wrong, it highlights what was supposed to be typed red, unless you got it wrong on a space, in which it puts in what character you typed in red highlight where you typed it..
I won’t lie, it’s a bit unpolished. There are some weird text wrapping bugs that are unpleasant to look at, but it should be fine for the most part.
This kinda took way too long, but whatever. We take what we can get.
Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom…
My associate who is also working on this project, @Ratseer has gotten strangers new sprites, names, and all that, along with a brand new scavenging system which I recommend you check out on all his devlogs.
Formatting still sucks
The preview function is great, thank you Stardance team. But still, now the ctrl Z shortcut is wonky, it’s harder to put in more line breaks when pressing the enter key, and also I tried uploading this earlier with the video and it said the video size was too large, and deleted the entire devlog, so now I’m writing this again. Features for thought.
