ModeMachine42 - MC Built

This is the modemachine42, formerly modeboard42. It is for the hackpad mission, and the goal is to make a macropad with different preset modes. With a 16 key matrix, I wasn’t able to include a rotary encoder on the current microcontroller, so my next idea was to use a 16th key off to the side that would be combined with the scroll wheel to scroll through modes and there will be an intuitive way to easily switch keybinds. I found a better way in the version of an open source web-app to re-assign keys. This version is called MC Built because the key layout is arranged in my Minecraft hotkey arrangement.

Rerouted PCB AGAIN

I spent like an hour on this, the other like 6 were spent on researching ways to achive my goals for customizability. I re-routed because I realized I needed a spacebar for my layout, and I wanted to make it look nicer. I think it looks pretty nice! The next devlog will probably be about firmware :D

Schematic and PCB almost finished!

This is the ModeBoard42. It is for the hackpad mission, and the goal is to make a macropad with different preset modes. With a 16 key matrix, I wasn’t able to include a rotary encoder on the current microcontroller, so the 16th key off to the side will be combined with the scroll wheel to scroll through modes and there will be an intuitive way to easily switch keybinds. This version is called MC Built because the key layout is arranged in my Minecraft hotkey arrangement. I have finished the schematic, and the PCB just needs an outline and I want to add some things like art and maybe some type of branding.
