I think I figured out hackatime works, seems like I can’t be in a workspace root.

took me unreasonably long to integrate Glyphon without incurring additional render passes.
However the client is essentially done! now I will be shifting focus to the server/networking side of things and begin writing that.

For the server I will probably be using a quad tree for collision resolution, but I know better structures exist (spatial hash, etc). quad tree is very simple though.

to end things off, I also worked more on my anti cheat. I am still figuring out the specifics for client side protection (only useful to stop skids) besides just freezing globals and checking [native code] bs.

ALSO: if anyone wants to help contribute, I really need a designer for the game! let me know and we can get in touch :)

This reminds me of diep.io which is a game I really loved a while back. I’m still not quite sure about what this game/project is about but it seems you need a designer, I could help you out with that if you’d like. I just need to know what exactly I’d be doing so I know if it fits my skillset.

@Gideonthegreat yep! a lot of clones have popped up recently (arras.io, havre.io) but none of them fit the niche im going for: performant, easily customizable and extendable (using Lua) and completely open source.

@FireWarrior yeah! such a shame the path diep.io is going with under the new ownership (suing the hell out of everyone).
you might wanna check out havre.io since its also similar to those games :)

@gusin9113 yeah really dissappointed in 3AM Experiences :( I have played havre.io but (not to be mean) I felt like it was a copy of diep, like it was very similar, but its definately good

@FireWarrior yeah I think it strives to still be in line with diep but with better features? I can only presume since im not the dev haha
