📡 Devlog #1: Bridging the Physical & Digital (Wiring the Chassis)

Hey makers! 🚀 I’m starting a devlog series for my Robotics & Automation Portfolio.

I’ve spent years building physical machines (like clinical air sterilisers and maze-solvers), but I realized I lacked a digital portfolio to showcase them. Every hardware builder needs to document their work—otherwise, how does the world know what you’ve built? 🛠️

Here is what I’ve wired up so far:

  • Draftsman Blueprint Layout 📐: Designed the page to look like a technical engineering drawing sheet, complete with interactive coordinate-tracking crosshairs.
  • Live Telemetry ⚡: Integrated the Hackatime API so my coding status and hours display live in the title block.
    It is 100% open source! Clone it, edit the sheets, and make it your own!

I built an interactive developer portfolio styled as an engineering CAD drawing sheet, showcasing my journey and physical builds as a robotics diploma student.

What I Made:
- CAD Layout: A dark/light drafting-sheet style with crosshairs and border annotations.
- Interactive Galleries: A custom-built 3D spiral deck and concave circular build wheel showing hardware.
- Showcase Sheet: Highlighting real-world public/government products:
- Vayu Rakshak: UVC air sterilizer built and deployed in clinics.
- Earlobe Hemoglobin Screener: Needle-less optical health screening.
- Autonomous Logistics Rover: LiDAR warehouse transport robot.
- Telemetry Unit: A widget displaying WakaTime coding telemetry live.

What was Challenging:
Writing custom mathematical equations to position and rotate items in a concave 3D layout using raw CSS transforms instead of heavy libraries like Three.js. Ensuring that WakaTime heartbeats could track and display stats natively.

How to Test:
Open the link and hover to activate the CAD tracking cursor. Scroll down to test the scroll-hijacked build wheel. Try clicking the different project cards on Sheet 03 to inspect specifications!

Just finished redesigning my CAD-blueprint portfolio layout! I centered and scaled the main name, and built a brand-new Sheet 01 showcasing our lab’s public/government robotics projects: the Vayu Rakshak air sterilizer, the non-invasive hemoglobin screener, and our ROS LiDAR warehouse rover.
